Special ribbon

3rd January 2015      Sarah Burns      9 Comments

The thing about small children is that they have a habit of growing, and growing quickly. I can’t believe just how big Daniel is these days, and Emma too.

Inspired by my first crafting prompt of the year I made these little ribbon keepsakes. The poem reads

This is a special ribbon,
As you’re about to see…
When the bow is folded out
It is the length of me!

I have meascrafting prompt week 1 ribbonured both Daniel and Emma with a ribbon and tied them around a piece of card and added their names and the date to the bottom. I am going to decorate the card a bit more and pop them into their keepsake boxes.

I cant wait to see how long the ribbon is in 2016. I just wish I had thought of this earlier for Daniel’s first new year!

I think these will make lovely keepsakes to look back on over the years.

Ah how cute, what a lovely idea! I’d need a long ribbon for my eldest, he is five but nearly at my shoulders! Might try with my toddler though, lovely. Thanks for linking up with #sundaystars
