Luca-S Cross Stitch Kits

I am an ever increasing fan of Luca-S Cross Stitch kits and thought I would share what you get in their kits. They are fast becoming my go to and their range of designs is just stunning. I tend to purchase via The Craft Paradise (use code sarahb for a 15% discount) and the designs they have on offer are just superb.

Who are Luca-S

Luca-S are a Moldovan based designer and in recent years their offerings have got ever better and more diverse. They have a range of stunning designs, and some from their Gold Collection which will really challenge you.

Kit Designs

There’s a wide range of designs to suit all tastes such as cutesy characters like this lovely Christmas bunny, to birds and florals such as this blue tit kit. There are more detailed one including this absolutely stunning Christmas one – I think this is one of my favourite Christmas designs ever.

For me, I love the animal designs and have a few in my stash to work on at some point. I am hoping over summer to get a lot of stitching completed on my Wise Cat kit and then, once that is completed I think my next big one will be Autumn Reflections. I love this and it reminds me so much of the many miles I have walked along our local canal with my children. I also feel like Golden Flight is a good companion piece to this one.

What’s in the Luca-S Kit?

Some of the Luca-S kits com with Anchor threads but they have now got their own Luca-S branded threads so many of the newer kits come with those. Many of the bigger kits comes with pre-gridded zweigart aida (my autumn reflections is 16ct) and of course needles.

The floss is all wound onto very sturdy cards and its all well marked with the relevant codes to help you locate them when stitching.

The pattern comes on A3 sheets but you can also scan a QR code to download a PDF which I always do for big designs and send to pattern keeper as this helps me work on it better I find.

Why Luca-S?

I really like the Lucas-S kits. They are often very well priced and there are a range of designs and price points. Luca-S also offer mystery boxes on their website at three price points (although I’ve never had one so I can’t comment on what sort of kits you might get) but you can choose categories so I am sure you would get something great!.

The Craft Paradise carries a wide range of Luca-S kits and is also stocking their branded floss, and at just 55p a skein (plus 15% off with code Sarahb) it’s certainly very competitive when compared to DMC which is more than double the price. I am very tempted to order some to see how the colours compare to DMC with a view to gradually swapping over to Luca-S. I am very much in love with this complete chest of all the colours but not sure I can justify that purchase!
