Felt Bookmark Craft for Toddlers

For my crafting prompt this week the theme is felt. I wasn’t too sure what I was going to do with this one, I had a few ideas including making some felt items for Daniel and Emma to play with but when I saw this post from Rach over at Thirty Beckons I knew I would have to use the felt to make bookmarks.

I am pretty sure I picked these felt shapes up in Tesco last summer. They are really nice and would look great on cards too.

Daniel was really engaged with this, adding the glue to his bookmark and choosing the shapes etc. I was surprised that he was so into it.

We haven’t used felt before and he kept feeling it in his hands which was nice to see.

I also added in some sparkles and foil mistletoe leaves that I had picked up over Christmas, as well as some ribbon.

The finished bookmarks are below, and I like how they have turned out. This would be a great craft for children and adults to do alike, I think I might make some more in the future and uses people’s initials on them to personalise them a little more.

  1. These look great! I must have a go at something similar as I have a load of bits of felt that would be perfect for this.
