Toddler Fun with Valentines Biscuits

I had planned something else for this weeks crafting prompt effort, but I haven’t had time to finish it yet, so instead I am sharing this little crafty item that Daniel made at playgroup today, and was so pleased about.

The playgroup we attend on a Wednesday is a lovely group and they always have a couple of craft tables. This week was a Valentines theme with one table making some lovely cards and another decorating some heart shaped biscuits.

The biscuits were already made and the children were given some icing to spread onto the biscuit and some sprinkles to decorate them with and some icing pens.

toddler valentine biscuitDaniel hasn’t been too interested in this sort of thing in the past but really enjoyed doing it today and adding his decorations and using the icing pens.

This was such a simple thing to do with him and I must do it again soon at home, with us making the biscuits in the morning and decorating in the afternoon. I’m keen for both the children to understand how their food is made etc.

He was so proud and enjoyed eating it, well most of it! The quality of the picture isn’t great I’m afraid as it was snapped on my phone at playgroup, but you get the idea!!

So, now I am off to hunt out a simple toddler and baby friendly biscuit recipe to have a go at over the next week or two.
