How to organise the perfect family holiday to Antalya

collaborative post

A paradise for keen holidaymakers, Türkiye is ideal for families, with its world-class beaches, friendly locals and a huge choice of excursions. Without a shadow of a doubt, Antalya is a firm favourite for families, with millions visiting each year.

In Antalya, you’ll find an assortment of different activities for all family members to enjoy. The city is filled with secrets just waiting for you to discover, or you can simply spend your time in the sun if you choose to – that’s what family holidays are for anyway! With so much to do, it’s likely you’ll want to visit Antalya again very soon.

To help you prepare for your next trip, we’ve put together our list of essential family activities so you don’t have to. All that’s left for you to do is organise your family-friendly accommodation and an Antalya airport transfer, then you’re good to go!

Sandland

Sandland is a truly unique experience you’ll likely have never seen before. The Antalya Sand Sculpture Museum is home to some of the most intricate and creative sculptures in the world, made entirely of water and sand.

Specialists from around the globe gather here to build their sculptures, which remain standing for months for visitors to see. Not only is this a fun day out for the children but can also be educational.

Aktur Park

Amusement parks are always a great way to entertain kids of any age, meaning a trip to Aktur Park should be at the top of your list. The park operates a pre-paid system that needs to be topped up on arrival – then you’re free to roam to your heart’s content.

The park hosts a number of rides ranging from high-adrenaline rollercoasters to smaller attractions, like the bumper cars or Ferris wheel, ensuring no child is left out.

Antalya Aquarium

With being so close to the Mediterranean Sea, it would seem ridiculous for Antalya to not have an aquarium. Antalya aquarium provides lots of opportunities to keep the children entertained, including one of the world’s longest tunnel aquariums spanning 131 metres. There is also an Ice Museum and Snow World where the kids can play with real snow.

Lara Beach

Found slightly to the east is the lively resort of Lara Beach. The beach is hugely popular among tourists, stretching along the coast for a remarkable 12km. The golden sand and crystal-clear water here provide the perfect backdrop for some well-needed quality time with your family.

There is also a selection of water sports available for older children to take part in, such as paragliding, kitesurfing and windsurfing, whilst the younger family members go for a paddle in the sea.
