The week started off with a distinct lack of sleep! Emma had a terrible cough and of course these things are always worse at night! I had three nights of her being quite unsettled and whilst she caught up in the daytime, I didn’t quite catch up on my sleep. But, all things considered it’s beena productive week and a week that saw me speak on Five Live radio (briefly) about the new proposed Home Ed Register, host our regular speaking and listening group and make plans for a few other things weare going to do. I also gave my blog a makeover after being caught up an the Pipdig saga (other bloggers will understand this!)
What I have read
This week I’ve continued reading American Wife but due to the lack of sleep, haven’t made as much progress as I had hoped. I have finished audiobook, The Daughter, and had predicted the ‘bad guy’ in that one. I also got through another, My Father’s Words. It wasn’t the sort of book I’d usually read or listen to but it passed an hour or so whilst I was out running. I have a third book on my audio list that I started today whilst out running today. It’s called Somewhere Beyond the Sea and is good so far. although I’m only about 30 minutes into it so far.

Where we have been
We have been to the park and our usual groups. Monday and Tuesday saw Emma taking long afternoons naps to catch up on her missed sleep so my planned trip to feed the ducks didn’t happen. We did go to a lovely family night for Daniel’s Beavers group and we had lots of fun at that.
Miles Run
I am pleased that this week has been good for running, despite the lack of sleep! I kicked off my running challenge with a fast mile on the treadmills inbetween my gym classes on Wednesday and have managed another couple of runs since. My aim is to hit at least 50 miles this month, so fingers crossed I can manage that. I have a decent run on Monday morning as I need to drop our car off at the garage so I will run back from that and get a few miles ticked off.
I also got a 5km Personal Best this weekend which I’m very pleased with!
Miles Completed this week: 11.5
