Ad – Gifted Items
The current situation has been good for making sure I save some pennies! No trips to shops means that I have been saving a few extra pennies here and there. It does also mean, however, that as I’ve needed to replace clothes I’ve not been able to! The team at Rydale got in touch to ask me if I’d like to try out some of their items and I loved the look at some of the things on their site so was excited to take part.
Who Are Rydale?
Rydale is a Yorkshire based company with a real passion for British products. Their clothing is inspired by their country routes. They are family-run for three generations and are keen to protect the British countryside. They’re committed to reducing their carbon footprint and have been doing their fair share in this regard. They have plenty of stockists in the North of England and their online presence is quick, clean and easy to navigate, making online shopping a breeze.
Their Products
Rydale sells a range of clothing from men, women and children. They sell bags and other accessories and some homeware products too. I was sent a crossbody bag, a jacket, a pair of cropped jeans and a tote bag. I’ve been so impressed I have since ordered myself a pair of new wellies which should arrive later this week.
There is a lot of ‘country casual’ style clothing as well as some more general outdoor items. The jacket that I chose is a lovely vibrant pink and is from the Belle Jacket range. It is super lightweight; something that is important to me as invariably I end up carrying numerous coats in my bag when I go out with the children, and the wonderful British weather means that it can often be a little unpredictable and a light coat is a must for any rain showers. The weather has taken a slight turn this last week and I did get caught out in a rain shower last week with the children. The jacket thankfully is showerproof and the hood was super easy to fold out.
The jeans I haven’t had an opportunity to wear yet but they’re a lovely soft material and the guide suggested to size up a size and that was the right thing for me to do, as the size I chose seems to be the right fit for me. They’re a lovely deep berry colour and there were a few different colours to choose from. I’m always a little wary of ordering jeans online as I don’t have a great success rate at ordering the right size, but these are great for me.
Bags, Bags, Bags
I seem to have developed a bag collection in recent years. I have different bags for different things but quite fancied a smarter bag for when I’m out on my own (although that seems like a distant memory right not!) I opted for a lovely crossbody bag and it’s just so lovely. It’s got plenty of space inside for my kindle, purse and a bottle of water as well as space for my keys and phone. It’s got pockets inside and the lining is super soft and pretty. This is definitely going to be my bag for afternoons out with friends (if and when they return!) I also got a fab tote bag for using when packing picnics with the children. This one is really sturdy and will be great for when we can get out in the sun and enjoy a picnic. There’s more than enough space to pack everything I need in there.
Overall Impressions of Rydale
I hadn’t heard of Rydale before this collaboration, but I have been really impressed with the quality of the items and the range of products available on their site. Returns look to be an easy process and the website is easy to navigate. As I mentioned above I have since ordered a new pair of wellies which will arrive later this week and I suspect I’ll be ordering new hats and wellies for the children from Rydale in the winter months. I’m really pleased to find a British brand that offers such a great range of clothing.
