This week has been a rather productive week for me in terms of reading. The Help (which I finished last week) was a bit of a heavier book that took me a little longer to read however this week I have finished two books. Love Anthony by Lisa Genova and The Beach Cafe by Lucy Diamond.
I’ve read one of Lucy Diamond’s books before and they are nice super easy feel good reads. Entirely predictable but good fun – the perfect book for reading by the pool (or in the bath!) I finished this one really quick and it’s now with my mum. Love Anthony I found a strange book. I watched Still Alice over Christmas time and thought it was brilliant. I wanted to read some more of Lisa Genova’s books and had this one plus another reserved at the library. It was a nice easy read but I found parts of it tedious and there is an almost super natural element to it which just doesn’t do it for me at all. It was OK, but I found I was reading some parts of it quickly as it was a little tedious.
My next book is The Girl on The Train by Paula Hawkins. This is another library book and I can’t wait to get started on this one. I’ve heard such good things about this book and I hope it lives up to the hype!
The Children have had some lovely books sent to them this week too, and I’ll write about them more later in the week. I also managed to pick up a little charity shop bargain this week, just 10p for the book! No real reason for choosing it other than at 10p it seemed silly not to take it!

The Girl on The Train is on my wishlist too. I look forward to hearing what you think of it 🙂

Got to love a bargain, I really enjoyed Girl On a Train!! thanks for sharing with #ReadWithMe
I really enjoyed Girl on the Train and shared my thoughts about reviewed it on my blog recently. You can’t beat a book for 10p! Your other choices sound a bit too light for me. I really seem to like heavy books these days!
oooh, going to head over and read your review now. I’ve only got about 60 pages to go and to be honest I’ve not enjoyed it. x
I’ve just started reading The Girl on the Train – I’m about 60 pages in and it hasn’t grabbed me yet, but I’m not struggling with it either.
I’ve got about 60 pages go now and to be honest, if it wasn’t for the fact it’s been raved about so much I would have given up a long time ago! I’m not enjoying it at all :-/
