Every now and then something comes along that is utter genius and you wonder how on earth it wasn’t created before now! I Saw it First! Jungle is one of those things. A fiendishly simple idea but with SO much appeal. This is a true family game

The Idea
This game is such a beautifully simple concept – the game board is packed with 300 different jungle animals. There is a box of counters that players take it in turns to choose. Each counter features one of the 300 animals, and each player races to see the animals first on the game board!
Older and younger members of the family will spot plenty of familiar animals from giraffes and Lions to elephants and chimpanzees. But the real challenge is when you get a less well-known creature such as a giraffe weevil or a eyelash viper!

The game itself
A great idea is only successful if it is delivered well and I have to say this is a very well designed. The box is triangular which gives it a bit of a wow factor. Inside are six triangular pieces which fit together to form a hexagonal board. The board is double-sided too to keep it fresh – just in case you do have a super memory and can remember where the animals are on one side! The animals are against a plain white background which makes it easy and clear to see.
Each of the 300 animals are illustrated by Caroline Selmes and they’re just beautiful. We came across a Moutain Chicken an when we googled it we couldn’t believe how close the illustration was to the actual thing (It’s a type of frog).
This game creates a level playing field as all family member can play. We have all enjoyed playing this game, and it’s one that has been a regular since we got it in December.
I’m also excited to see that there is an Ocean version due out soon and depending on when it’s released it will be a gift for one of the children’s birthdays.

Is there on picture on the board that is not on a chip ?? Jungle version … my granddaughter thinks there is !?
