You’ll see a range of disclosures on my posts. These are so that you, the reader, understand when I have been paid to add links, review or write about certain things.
The ASA state that where I have been gifted an item or use affiliate links in my posts I must use the phrase ‘Ad’. When I am gifted items I am never asked to include them or write about them in a positive manner. My choice to include them is because these are items or resources that we genuinely use and enjoy. I have not been asked to write anything specific about the items.
When you see a link that takes you to amazon.co.uk then this is an affiliate link. If you go on to purchase amazon gives me a small percentage of the money – this does not cost you anything extra, but it does help me keep my blog running.
Where I have been paid to insert links to websites or write about them or their products in a positive manner these are marked as ‘Ad’.
Due to changes in the ASA guidance since I started this blog, some posts use phrases such as collaborative post, sponsored post or guest post. I am in the process of working back through all old blog posts to update them in line with current ASA guidance. You should assume that these are posts for which I have been financially compensated.
