Book of The Week : What’s That Noise

This week’s book of the week is the beautifully illustrated ‘What’s That Noise’ by Naomi Howarth. This book was gifted to us by the publisher and this post contains affiliate links, hence the ‘ad tag. You can read my full disclosure policy here.

This book is beautiful and one of my favourites to read with the children at the moment. The story follows Magnus, an arctic seal who wakes up one morning and is puzzled by a noise he can hear.

He asks his friends, the Hare, Owl, Fox and Bear but they too are unsure as to what that noise is!

However, the clever and wise Walrus has an idea! I adore this book as there is so much to see. The pictures are just perfect and Magnus (which, by the way, is THE best name for a seal) is so wonderfully expressive, you can’t help but fall in love and giggle at his puzzlement as to what, exactly, that noise is. It’s the perfect book for winter to explore the animals that live in this snowy wonderland, as well as getting children to wonder along with Magnus as to what the mysterious noise might be.
