Simple fun toddler activity

When I thought about doing my weekly crafting prompt, I had visions of all these wonderful little masterpieces that I Daniel (and in due course Emma) would be making.

This week’s prompt is stickers and I have been a little snowed under with one thing and another and haven’t really got around to preparing anything for Daniel to do. However, Daniel loves to just sit and stick stickers onto different coloured paper.

So, this week’s submission for my own crafting prompt is rather lacking in effort and inspiration I am afraid!

I always have plenty of stickers to hand, picking them up in the supermarket or discount shops when I spot them. Today we got out some of the new foam style ones I had picked up at the weekend and some coloured paper and whilst Emma napped Daniel sat and did some sticking. I was really pleased that he has now started to peel the backs off the stickers – something that he has been unwilling to do until recently.

Daniel was happy to stick the stickers for a good 45 mins – we only stopped as it was lunch time and we were going out in the afternoon.

We didn’t produce any masterpieces, but we did have lots of fun developing those fine motor skills and talking about colour and shape.

  1. And the fun is all that matters, the masterpiece is just a plus! My lot love stickers, sooooooo much!! Did you know Leandra hosts a sticker swap?

  2. I’m so sorry i didn’t get a chance to link up again last week, I’m definitely more on the ball this week!
We LOVE stickers so often just sit and stick!

thanks so much for linking again #toddlerapprovedtuesday xx

  3. My 4 year old loves stickers, although he won’t spend much time with them. I think it’s the immediacy of them perhaps that appeals. He will however play with his cars for ages and ages!

  4. Stickers are such good fun and I think it’s great for little ones to just be able to create whatever they like, free time crafting is often the best.
    Thanks for sharing #LetKidsbeKids
