On Sunday both Daniel and Emma were getting a bit hyper and grumbly – that time of the day when they are getting tired and Damian and I are lacking in energy.
We had a few things to do, like get dinner ready, so I grabbed some contact paper and stuck it to the back doors, ripped up some tissue paper and set them both off with the activity.
It kept them occupied a good while and it was lovely to see Emma joining in with our crafty session – she was really enjoying sticking her hand to the contact paper and pressing her scrunched up paper onto it (and ripping it off again!)
Once they had finished their masterpieces I stuck some sugar paper over it and we had their completed masterpieces.
This was a really quick and easy thing to set up and they both really enjoyed doing it. I’m going to use the contact paper again in a few months to make some rainbows with I think as I think that will be something both children will enjoy doing.

What a lovely quick idea, thanks for sharing 🙂 #toddlerapprovedtuesday
That is genius. Love a simple craft idea that keeps them occupied without then need for a massive clean up afterwards! #ToddlerApprovedTuesday Over from http://www.cookwithtoddlers.com
