Last week I quickly set up this laundry basket web game for the children – it took all of three minutes to set up and has kept them entertained all week!
To set the game up you need (affiliate links below)
I quickly threaded the wool through the gaps in the laundry basket to create a web. Once done I dropped the bugs in and gave the children the tweezers and they quickly set about pulling the bugs out and through the web.
This was a really easy activity to set up and uses things that I suspect most people have around the house. My experience is that any normal household items are always the most exciting for children to get to play with and this was no exception!
You could re work this to do a halloween theme of spiders, to do an under the ground or under the sea theme and collect bugs or fish. Another alternative is to use ribbon instead of string or wool.
