There’s nothing like a pre-baby holiday to help you relax and prepare for your new arrival.
But where do you go? And what do you do? Extra care has to be taken when you’re pregnant, so more adventurous trips have to be postponed for now.

1. The beach trip
For sun, sand, and plenty of vitamin sea, nothing beats a trip to the beach. Lay back and enjoy the soothing sound of the ocean waves as they lap against the shore.

2. The city break
If you can’t get enough of culture and history, a city break is the choice for you. You may have to slow down your sightseeing but pregnancy doesn’t mean you have to avoid it completely — just take your time and listen to your body.

3. The countryside getaway
Whether you decide to explore another country or stay closer to home, a rural getaway offers a quiet escape from everyday life.
Stroll through beautiful, scenic countryside, enjoy hearty, local food and take the day at whatever pace you choose. For an extra treat, stay in a luxurious hotel and spend time curled up in front of the fire with a good book.

4. The spa holiday
Pregnancy is hard work — why not sit back and be waited on hand and foot? A spa holiday means all the pampering you deserve is right on your doorstep.
Any spa worth visiting will offer prenatal treatments specifically designed for the needs of pregnant women, whether that’s a massage, a facial, or a foot rub. 5. The staycation
The humble staycation is often overlooked, but don’t count it out. You’ll be able to explore your own country and feel all the benefits of a holiday without having to travel too far.
There might be an area of the country you’ve always wanted to visit, or a city you like the look of but haven’t explored yet. You might even decide to go back to a favourite destination and revisit much-loved places all over again. The choice is yours.
