I know for some people they were keen to get back to the pubs and restaurants, but for me, I have missed being active. I really do miss the gym, and I long for the time when I can go back to throwing weights in the gym, joining a spin class, or similar. For now, I am working out in a small private studio and doing some more active work at home with my own weights.
Like many people, I have used the last year to have a sort out of things and I did sort through a lot of my gym wear stuff and clear out the old stuff and a bit worse for wear and have replaced it with some bits from FemmeLuxe.
Now, I’m always happy to wear activewear that isn’t just boring black and this blue speckled set is gorgeous, It looks really beautiful on and is super comfortable. The high waist is super flattering and hides and smooths areas that we tend to be less confident with and the sports bra is lovely and soft but supportive. This has been my go-to set for at-home workouts.
I am also MASSIVELY in love with his cropped top from the casual wear and co-ord sets section. The top is perfect for popping on over the top of the sports bra and is flattering and great for warming up in or popping on after a gym session. It’s a lovely soft material with a pull-through to tighten it if you so wish.
This top is really versatile and works well with jeans and a vest top, over the top of activewear, or even just with its own matching trousers. What I love about these co-ord sets is that they can be dressed up or down and mixed and matched. I am a fan of grey loungewear. This top goes well with standard joggers or the ones they come with as part of the co-ord set.
The detail on the black is superb – they’re a skinny fit leg, so flattering to the shorter-legged amongst us (like me!) and also have utility-style pocked on the legs and deep pockets at the waist – perfect for holding keys or a mobile phone and similar. I LOVE these trousers and am hoping to get them in grey soon. They are so comfortable and very flattering, they’re also great for getting changed into after swimming as they look nice and smart but are lightweight and easy to get on after a dip in the pool.
Finally, a return to the gym means that we can also think about meeting friends a bit more and I know that I often try and match my gym nights with evenings to meet friends. I’ll try to do an early evening workout, quick wash, and change at the gym, then on to meet friends. Having something lightweight to slip into is a must and this lovely set is perfect. It looks super smart, and the fabric is forgiving if it gets a bit crumpled in your bag. It’s easy to dress up with boots or a heel and a nice handbag or can be dressed down a little if you’re doing something a little more casual.
If you’re not quite ready for a Body-Con Mini Dress, then something like this outfit is the perfect solution – super flattering deep v neck, tie waist, and the vertical lines help to lengthen the body, helping to slim and add height. It’s also lightweight so great for the summer evenings ahead.
