I was recently sent some resources from Rachel at Undercover Hippy Bus to review with the children. We have used some of them recently in our work on New Zealand which I shared here. About the Resources

You can view many of Undercover Hippy Bus resources here.  We have been mostly using the World Explorer one as that seems to be where a lot of our focus has been in recent weeks. I really like the framework it provides for the children and using a consistent framework as you learn about different places really helps them to master some of the key facts they’re learning.

I have also been looking at the animal study one as I want to do more on endangered animals, as this really engaged them last week when we looked at the plight of the Kakapo, so I just need to do some planning around that. The packs are all PDFs and they’re super well priced as you get a lot in them. For example, the World Explorer pack is 20 pages long. This includes pages for the children to complete as well as prompts for you to think about what you might want to teach them.

There’s a helpful guide for children who might be directing their own learning that gives them ideas of useful resources as well as activities such as designing a postcard, learning about festivals and celebrations and food and drink. It really does provide a fabulous and rounded approach to learning.

There’s role play items to print and prompts to design a travel brochure for the destination as well as thinking about what you’d pack in a suitcase!

I really like that this is all available in one pack and it provides such a wide approach to learning.
