Collaborative Post

Maternity leave is all about you and your baby. It’s time to spend with your baby and to make sure that you recover well. Yet, all women aren’t the same. Some will get a little bored sat around and might want to dabble in a little bit of work or a hobby. Some might want to make a little extra money before they go back to work, or maybe start something new which can help the family going forward. There’s no right or wrong answer because everyone is different, but here are a few little money making tips for you to consider if you’re twiddling your thumbs because you’re lucky with a super good and quiet baby.

Check The Discounts!

There are always discounts to be had and if you’ve not been a savvy shopper before now might be the time. It’s almost considered a hobby by some. You can get some great Pregnancy Freebies in the UK or anywhere else if you just know where to look. There are vast amounts of vouchers sites online where you can really grab some bargains so if you need anything, make sure you take a look first and you might just end up saving a chunk of cash.

Sell Your Creations

If you’ve got an artsy streak, you might consider selling your little creations. You can do it all online too so you don’t need to leave the house. Think about sites like Etsy, where there really is money to be made selling unique items. You can even sell products on sites like Amazon or Ebay too if it starts to go well. It could be absolutely anything too from woodwork to knitting. If it’s something you enjoy doing, there’s no harm making a little bit of side income from it too. The key thing to remember is that the income is just for fun, try not to get to a point where you completely rely on it.

Go Over The Utilities

A super simple way to make some extra money. Check your gas, electricity, and water bills and see if you can get it any cheaper elsewhere. The likelihood is that you probably can. Especially if you use a comparison site. You can also get it cheaper by bundling them up together. Don’t forget to do the same with your internet too. You might be able to get it faster, for less money.

Dip Into Freelance

You can make some easy money by viewing and grabbing some jobs online. If you’ve got a skill, such as translation, you can offer your service online and work for as little or long as you want to. It might be that you’re a teacher or have proficiency in a certain subject and want to tutor people online using Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Perhaps you like to write and can write a few blog posts for someone who doesn’t have the time to do it themselves. There’s so much to think about and if you check sites like Fiverr or Upwork you can get a flavour of the multiple options available.
