I’m so glad that the weather has (finally!) improved – it makes the world feel so much brighter and happier when the sun is shining doesn’t it? I’m really enjoying seeing the wildflowers blooming and the new burst of life as we see the chicks and goslings getting bigger and bigger and the reeds and bullrushes growing. As much as I love the autumn and spring, now we are into the summer it feels like a different world again.
It’s been lovely to finally get the summer clothes out and to feel the sun warming the skin – doesn’t it feel lovely to shed the bulky jumpers and jeans? FemmeLuxe have some great dresses available and I’ve updated my wardrobe with a lovely off-the-shoulder ress. I love Midi-dresses and they really are perfect for this time of year and I love the polka dot look below – I’ve teamed it with a lovely strappy white top which is super cool and goes well with the polka dots. I love that this outfit is dressy enough for a meal out or a family barbecue but it also looks casual enough for an afternoon stroll – a really super versatile item to have in your wardrobe this season.
The white top underneath makes this dress feel a little more summery and the addition of the tie waist helps to create a flattering fit. The deep v neck front is flattering as well as perfect for dressing up with a chunky pendant or necklace.
Of course, it isn’t all about dresses at the moment and I’m also very much into grey loungewear at the moment; it’s such a flattering colour for everyone. This set is a lovely grey marl style and looks great as a co-ord set or the oversized jumper is perfect to be paired with jeans or shorts on those cooler evenings. It folds really small so that means it can be slipped into a bag for those outdoor drinks with friends.
I also like how light this material is and it feels lovely and cool when I’ve worn the trousers for walks across fields (I tend to get bitten a lot by biting insects and I try and keep my legs covered when walking in fields etc – these trousers are really light and cool).
I’ve also been enjoying loungewear – these black joggers are perfect and have lovely deep pockets which means I don’t need to carry a bag – win win! Again these are lovely and light and look geat dressed with chunky white trainers as well as being dressed with a heel for those nights out at the pub.
I am obsessed with these trousers at the moment; they’re super versatile and perfect for the summer months – great for days at home or a walk by the canal and the quality is really good; they wash well and stay looking fresh.
