Miss E is really starting to enjoy her bedtime stories at the moment, and one that I have read to hear (and Mr. D) over the past few weeks is this lovely book called Dear Bunny… by Katie Cotton and Blanca Gomez.
I was sent the hardback version and it is beautifully presented. The spine is cloth with a gold foil imprint of the title and it is just perfect. The story by Cotton is such a sweet little tale of a small girl who writes to her bunny, to tell bunny about all the things she likes when they’re together.
From cooling down her porridge, to playing in the park they explore the world together and enjoy adventures and delight in the small things. It’s a story that I am sure many parents will recognise in their own children.
It is a beautifully simple book with an easy message of being grateful for all that we have, and delighting in the little things, and, that actually the important things are your loved ones around you.
The illustrations are lovely and clear and it is firmly in our bedtime book pile now. Miss E enjoys pointing out the ‘babbit’ – which is clear why when he is so sweetly illustrated.
