We visited Ordsall Hall this week, and a short drive away is the Lowry Outlet Mall. We headed there to take a look around and found that they had a ‘bear hunt’ themed trail taking place.
The children got a leaflet from the welcome desk which asks them a number of questions, the answers to which can be found at each of the 11 bears.
The children had great fun spotting the different bears – they’re fantastic and Daniel really liked the enormous grizzly bear and Emma and Harry quite like the Polar bears. I liked the Sun Bear and Panda Bear the best though.
Eight of the bears can be found in the Lowry Outlet Mall and upstairs there is a reading area where you can take a break and snuggle up on a beanbag and share a story.
The three other bears can be found over in the Lowry theatre, and I was excited to see that We’re going on a bear hunt is this summer’s production (all three children LOVE this book so I wish I’d bought tickets for this). We found the three bears in there, two are benches that the children enjoyed sitting on and the third is just outside the Carole Nash Lookout. I have been to the Lowry a fair few times, but for some reason, we rarely visit this part.
The lookout is fab with lots of crafts on hand, dressing up area and a toddler area too. We spent a little while here whilst Harry played, Daniel made a clapper board for his own Bear Hunt productions (if you watched my Instagram stories recently you will remember he and Emma made a ‘Lion hunt’ story.). Emma made a bear mask and then they both set about trying on the various clothes and the such.
After we’d finsihed in the Look Out we headed back into the Mall for a walk around and to spot the last couple of bears before heading home.
