Superheroes with Baker Ross

Superheroes with Baker Ross

A week or so ago we cracked open the crafting stash and came across these fab Super Hero Masks from Baker Ross. There are four masks in the kit, each with a different design.

Daniel and Emma made two masks each and it was the perfect craft to cover both their age range (Emma at 13 months and Daniel at just under 2.5 years).

Baker Ross MasksDaniel was able to peel the backing off the foam stickers and place them according to the image on the package. He then took great delight in putting them on and running around the house.

I was also really impressed with how well Emma managed this activity. It can be a challenge sometimes to find an activity that suits both Daniel and Emma but this one really did. And, like all the Baker Ross items we have used, the quality is excellent. Some weeks later these masks are still in the toy box being used.

These masks are brilliant value at £3.49 for a pack of four. There are lots of extension activities that can go on from this including making capes or reading some super hero books, or even a but of physical activity and running and jumping around like super heroes. Lots of fun to be had.

After we had made these Emma headed for a nap, so Daniel and I then moved on to making some photo frames. These frames are made by layering up different items and adding the photo on. I didn’t have any photos to hand that were the right size so we improvised and made a frame for a Thomas Sticker, which Daniel was very pleased with.

The image below shows the pieces required to make two frames (I did later realize as I was making my frame that the brown one was broken).

Daniel struggled a little with this one for some reason, I think maybe some of the foam pieces were a little small and fiddly for him but he did enjoy helping me to layer the pieces up.

This was a nice little activity and would be great is you had a few friends round as there are six in the pack (2 yellow, 2 brown and 2 orange) and at £3.49 it’s a good price. I will be saving the rest of these until later in the year to see if Daniel can manage the pieces a bit easier.

He was really pleased with his frame and it has pride of place on the fridge – and he delights in pointing out Thomas! Next time I will make sure we have some other photos that fit the size better.

I love Baker Ross craft packs like this as everything is there, in one pack ready to use. They are useful to have to hand for when you want a quick crafty activity but haven’t prepared anything!

Please note I was sent the above items in exchange for a fair and honest review

Looks like a great activity, I am struggling to find activities that can be fairly independent for my 2.5 year old! #toddlerapprovedtuesday
