Meal Plan – Week 9

Week nine already – and this week it is a bit of a make do kind of week here. There are a few bits and pieces in the freezer that I am going to try and use up.

family meal plan - lots of ideas for family meals that are quick, easy and nutritious

Last week I tried a couple of recipes from the Flavour Led Weaning Cookbook and they went down well. I am going to write a full review of the book later this week so do pop back as there will be chance to win a copy for yourself.

So, our plan this week is as follows:

Monday – Shepherd’s Pie & Veg

Tuesday – Slow cooker chicken curry

Wednesday – Slow cooker jacket potatoes

Thursday – Pasta with a red pesto and onion sauce

Friday – Homemade cheese and onion pie with chips/potatoes and veg

I’ve also got some leeks to use up so will set off some leek and potato soup in the slow cooker tomorrow. I might have that Monday evening rather than the meat option. The children and I will make some bread too if we get chance.

So, not a very exciting week ahead here for us, but one that will see us make use of the various bits in the freezer!

Have a great week ahead.

We too are also do a leek and potato soup with hopefully some homemade bread. There is nothing better than making something from scratch.

    Have a great week 🙂

I’ve never thought of making bake potatoes in the slow cooker. What a good idea, must give it a go. Have a good week.

I like weeks where we use everything up. I need to do this with some of my cupboard bits. Will pop back for the book review #mealplanningmonday

Interesting about the slow cooker jackets. Do they get crunchy skins or soft? #mealplanningmonday

Ooh, I do love leek and potato soup, but only home made. That may creep into next weeks plan!
