Meal Plan – Week 5

So this week sees us tick in to February, and with it the month that Miss E turns three.

I managed to stick to the plan more or less last week, but ended up not doing the chicken curry due to not having any chicken in, but instead we used up bits that were in the freezer, so not too bad.  I also used up the bag of onions I had making a soup using the new pressure cooker. There’s a giveaway over on this post here meafor a chance to win a pressure cooker too.

This week our plan is as follows:

Monday – Slow Cooker chicken curry

Tuesday – Fajitas and sweet potato fries

Wednesday – Jacket potatoes

Thursday – Veg Lasagne

Friday – Pie, Veg and chips

Mr D’s swimming lessons start again this evening and it’s always a rush for dinner so we’ll use the slow cooker and get the curry done, then it’s just the rice to do which won’t take long.

On Wednesday we have someone coming round to quote us for work around tea-time so I’ll do the potatoes in the slow cooker (see here) and then Damian and I can get ours once he has left.

The children requested Veg lasagne this week so I’ll get them to help me make that after football on Thursday.

I’m hoping to have a quietish week planned this week. The last two weeks seem to have been very hectic with days out and the such. Both the older two are pretty tired and Mr D was out of sorts on Friday evening so a quiet week ahead. We might do a spot of baking this week as we haven’t done that for a while together.
