I never really used to drink hot drinks, but I have to admit that in recent years I have become a bit of a sucker for a good cup of coffee. We have a machine that uses pods that are nice to have some mornings but my favourite thing is the fresh pot of coffee on a Sunday morning.
Pre children we would have a lovely pot of coffee with breakfast and while away the morning with the Sunday paper. No we have the kids we still try to have our Sunday morning coffee – it is nice to have one morning a week where we don’t need to do anything or go anywhere.
I was offered the chance to try out the flavoured coffees from a company called Beanies and I was intrigued when they arrived. I was sent two of the fresh ground coffee (Cinnamon Stick and Choc Chip Cookie flavour) and two of the instant coffees, chocolate orange and hazelnut.
The instant coffees are really nice, and the hazelnut one is really nice, I wasn’t sure I would like this one as I’m not a huge fan of nutty flavoured things but I really like this and there’s probably only a few more cups’ worth left. The chocolate orange one is lovely too, and I have to admit this one has grown on me a little. The taste is subtle but nice.
The fresh coffee too is lovely. Sometimes it can be a bit hard to get fresh coffee right, not too weak and not too strong but we have done well with the Beanies Coffee. It is a nice coffee and the cinnamon stick one has a really lovely taste to it. The choc chip cookie one is probably my least favourite of the four I have tried, I could tell it was a flavoured coffee, but I couldn’t really place what the flavour was. I will finish the pack of coffee that we have but will try out the other flavours before buying that one again.
There are some brilliant flavours available and I’ll be visiting the Beanies site again for unusual gifts in the coming months as thoughts begin to turn to Christmas(!). I like the sound of the chocolate raspberry one and the creamy caramel one
The instant coffees are available in some supermarkets and prices start at £2.50. The premium roasts start from £4.50.
I’m thrilled that Beanies are offering two of my readers the chance to win a stash box of their coffees – containing all nine of their regular range of flavoured coffees. Entry is via the rafflecopter form below. Good luck!
